CarbON CapturE Ready gas Turbines - CONCERT project
This project focuses on two related aspects: the flexible use of various fuels in the context of a sustainable process and the study of the conversion of existing units towards CO2 capture.
Simone's work focuses on the numerical and experimental study of micro Humid Gas Turbine (mHAT) plant combined with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) in order to apply the carbon
capture tecnology. He also analyses novel combustion technologies, such as ammonia flamess combustion, to assure flexibility and low pollutant emissions.
Simone obtained his master's degree in Energy Engineering at the University of Pisa, Italy. He joined the BURN team in September 2015
