Séverine Cassiers obtained her Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in June 2018. She performed a Master's thesis under the supervision of Professors Francesco Contino and Hervé Jeanmart on particulate matter emissions of diesel cars developing a low-cost measurement device able to detect diesel particulate filter tampering. In October 2018, she started a PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) under the supervision of Professor Francesco Contino. Her PhD focuses on real-driving emissions of medium and heavy-duty vehicles. She is planning a joint PhD between UCLouvain and VUB with Professor Hervé Jeanmart.
