Marianna carries out a research project entitled "Mitigation of nitrogen oxides formation in the combustion of non-conventional fuels" in collaboration with ArcelorMittal. Her work focuses on developing and validation of models describing NOx formation pathways in the combustion of non-conventional fuels in the range of coke oven operating conditions, in order to investigate mitigation techniques.
Numerical simulations will be validate with experimental measurements carried out at lab and industrial scale to quantify NOx emissions with and without chemical additives.
Marianna graduated in Chemical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UNINA), Italy.
Afterwards she worked as Process Engineer in collaboration with Alenia Aermacchi S.p.A, Italy. She finally joined BURN team in March 2016
